Here, she focused her research on the gut microbiome and its implications in human health and disease. Please see ‘Research‘ page for more information on her current and previous projects and publications.

Dr. Overby has a passion for learning, science, and creativity; she hopes to combine these characteristics along with skills obtained in graduate school and post-graduate professional experience to make science readily available for public consumption as a scientific communications specialist. Outside of work and academia, Haley enjoys traveling and spending quality time with mother nature. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, backpacking, camping, kayaking, paddle-boarding, and any other adventures she can get herself into. Haley also enjoys refurbishing old furniture as well as making new furniture and other wood-working projects. Check out Haley’s blog to keep up with some of these adventures.
